Our Shoe Obsession

The truth is women love shoes. We probably have to thank Carrie Bradshaw for bringing shoe obsessions into the mainstream. But did you know there is a physiological link between shoes and an increase in adrenaline when we buy them? Martin Lindstrom, author of Buyology: Truth and Lies About Why We Buy explains that "dopamine increases until you begin to swipe a credit card..." Women "think of shoes as something that is practical, because it can be used several times a week. As a result, a sense of fun that last longer"


Shoes are wonderful and essentail, they effect how we stand and how we feel.  Lee Brown a Washington resident is a self proclaimed shoe addict. With more than 500 pairs, her husband had a Carrie Bradshaw inspired closet built.  "Shoes are objects of desire of who we want to be or who we aspire to be - even if it is just for that day.”  Lee Brown
